Thank-you, Sir Tim

On the 25th birthday of The Internet, an entity that single handedly changed our lives, altered the world and gave many of us boundless opportunities, there seems little else we could do than offer our most sincere gratitude to its inventor.
From a piece of code from a brilliant mind, a whole digital universe was born. It's mind boggling to think of what Sir Tim Berners-Lee created a quarter of a century ago and just as perplexing to think what our lives would be without it.
In 2010, we were fortunate enough to have Sir Tim come and speak at DO Wales, where he told us how the internet 'just happened'. His talk was the first we wrote up here on The DO Blog for our 'In Focus' segment, but we feel such a landmark deserves another watch.
So sit back, enjoy and join us in expressing a ginormous thank-you to Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
