Pssst. Guess what? We've got a secret ... a magical surprise to perk up your Monday. The fine folks of DO Australia have opened a bonus second round of applications. Boom. If you were tempted the first time around, but didn't take the plunge; this is fate telling you to have another try. Dreams are there for the DO-ing, after all.
To whet your appetites, we've got the next four confirmed speakers for you to take a look at. These are the stories that will be lighting the bonfires this coming April. Exciting.

1. Carly Heaton / A creative Director making work into play
Carly loves ideas and creating stuff. She loves talking to anyone and everyone who likes ideas and creating stuff too. She doesn’t think there should be a big distinction between work and play; a maxim she and her fantastic group of co-workers live and breathe.
Carly also works on two side projects with her partner Andy. ‘Light bucket’ which helps bring local organisations & charities’ stories to life through content and 'In this order' a product and furniture design studio.
As well as appearing before the camera, Carly will be working her magic behind the camera, which Do Lectures Australia is mighty chuffed about.
2. Corinne Proske / Head of Community Finance & Development, National Australia Bank
Corinne is passionate about leaving the world in better shape than when she entered – a passion she has carried since childhood.
Ever wondered how fairness and equity relate to money? Corinne’s the one to give us the lowdown. At NAB she is responsible for the $130 million financial inclusion program which helps low income Australians access financial services. Her latest fascination is exploring opportunities for impact investment; an emerging field which is asking for investments to be measured on more than just financial return.
We are not sure how Corinne has managed to do all this, but not only is she a CPA with postgraduate studies in environmental management, she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2009, has undertaken an Earthwatch Fellowship to count manta rays, and in 2013 was recognised by MoneySmart for her contribution to financial literacy.
A life-long lover of learning who is inspired by new thinking and perspectives, Corinne enjoys the small things in life and can often be found camping by the seaside with her son.
3. Ross Hill / Explorer of the internet and future astronaut
Ross has been exploring the internet since it was something that made alien sounds from the end of your telephone line. What began as many hours of staring at green characters that lit up the dark room has also taken him across the world to see what’s on the other side. He always finds groups of people working together in communities to bring their ideas to life. Sometimes he brings new groups together too. As well as Melbourne’s laneways and Bhutan’s colourful mountains, this adventure has taken Ross deep inside companies such as Deloitte and Yammer where he helps rewire them for the connected world.
Ross wants his bio to say “Astronaut,” but the spaceships aren’t quite ready yet.
4. Tim Ross / Gets up to all sorts of things
Funny man, Tim is a son, brother, husband, father, and self-confessed architecture nerd who frequently moonlights as a radio host, television presenter, writer, producer, and actor.
Tim is one of Australia’s best known comedians. He built up an enormous fan base as the Rosso half of Merrick and Rosso through their ratings-topping radio show on Triple J and also their sell-out live shows.
Along the way he’s picked up numerous ACRA radio awards, an Astra, GQ Man of the year award and an ARIA. In 2010 he released his first book, Mum had a Kingswood. He is currently a contributor to Men’s Style Australia, Rolling Stone and writes a monthly column Rosso’s Sydney for The (Sydney) Magazine in the Sydney Morning Herald.
We can’t wait to share a joke or two with Tim at Do Lectures Australia.
