How Can I Be Happy?

Do Good
Day to day, we ask a million questions. We are, if nothing else, innately curious. We ask them of ourselves, of the people around us, of the world around us. And yet, the big questions in life - the big scary stinkers - we avoid for as long as possible.
What is the meaning of life?
How can I be truly happy?
Sheesh.
Facing these questions kinda feels like facing our own mortality, right? We put if off and put it off until these questions loom too large to ignore. Then, we freak out and call it a midlife crisis.
What am I doing with my life?
What happens next?
Am I making the most out of every day?
What we need for these big questions is the soothing voice of logic. One that is inviolate to beliefs or religion or even our own fear. In this case, that voice is Stephen Fry.
He's teamed up with the British Humanist Association to narrate four animated videos that cover happiness, truth, the meaning of life and death. Oh yeah, the big stuff.
As we're headfirst into the second half of the week, we thought we would share this very simple, no frills philosophy on happiness.
"The time to be happy is now. And the way to find meaning in life is to get on and live it."
Maybe we could all do ourselves a favour and remember not to shelve our happiness for a later date, a second life or even an after life. Now is our time, keep tight hold of it.
